Potato imported to Uzbekistan exempted from customs duties

Uzbekistan by the decree of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev lifts customs duties for the imported potato until January 1, 2019.

The country canceled the individual customs, tax and other benefits, as well as other preferences granted to certain economic entities for importing food products to the country since February 1, 2018.

Uzbekistan plans to attract new suppliers of food products, create equal conditions for them to enter the domestic market. The ultimate goal is a full satisfaction of the population's demand for high quality and affordable food products.
