Information for fruit and vegetables business in CIS
First in CIS international conference for fruit and vegetable market players was held in Kyiv
Agricultural Marketing Project took an active part in organization and conducting of a very significant event on CIS fruit and vegetable market – the first international conference “Vegetables and Fruits of Ukraine: Market of New Opportunities”. It was organized and held in Kyiv on November 2-3 by Ukrainian market information company APK-Inform.
According to the tentative data, more than 300 persons from 15 world countries participated in the conference. Despite of the fact that this conference, dedicated to fruit and vegetable business, has been conducted in CIS for the first time on such a level, the participants highly assessed the quality of the reports, the value of the information and the organizational level of the event.
The participants showed true interest to the reports about new kinds of packing materials for vegetables and fruits, the modern production technologies, as well as to the modern technologies in post harvest handling practices, storage and marketing of fruits and vegetables and various opportunities for a profitable business on this market have also been described.
As the participants of the conference endorsed the idea to conduct such events annually, the informational agency “APK-Inform” expressed an intention to make this conference a traditional one.
