Apple market developments in Russia, Ukraine and world at the conference in Donetsk
The apple season 2012/13 was marked by record high production in Russia and Ukraine, a significant increase in Polish apple crop and lower production in almost all European producing countries. These factors together with Russia's accession to the WTO led to considerable changes in the Eastern European apple market environment.
What surprises does the new season prepare for the apple sector representatives? What price levels should Russian and Ukrainian apple growers expect in April 2014? Should an influx of Polish produce be expected in the Russian market again? Will Russian growers be able to compete with imported produce? Will Ukraine be able to retake its ground in the export market for apples? What production and exports are the global apple sector leaders expecting?
These and many other questions will be answered by Fruit-Inform analysts during the 3rd International Conference “Apple Business of Ukraine & Russia – 2013”. The conference program is available on the official web-site of the event.
The conference is to take place on August 15-16, Shakhtar Plaza Hotel, Donetsk, Ukraine. A sessional part of the event will be followed by a practical business-tour to Artemivsk Nursery Experimental Station on the second day of the conference.
