Preliminary results of vegetable, fruit and berry harvest in 2007

According to preliminary results provided by State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, in 2007 the gross potato harvest amounted to 19.1 mln. tons, or 2% as less than in 2006. Potato yield declined on 1.8 centner/ha. The gross harvest of field vegetables (except potato) declined 15.2%, the yield of these crops decreased on 19.1 centner/ha, and, the harvested area was reduced 4.6%.
