Review of the situation at the vegetable and fruit market in Ukraine (March 14.03.08 - 21.03.08)

There was a rise in prices for greenhouse cucumber as a result of insignificant volumes of its harvesting in economic enterprises. The greenhouse tomato got cheaper as a result of weak demand. The root crop market was stable for the past week both regarding its price and sales activity. The onion market was characterized by the balance of supply and demand. At the banana market, the positive price tendency was maintained. The wholesale companies continued to reduce purchases.
