Frozen raspberry stocks near record level in Serbia

Fruit-Inform Project was reported of the current frozen raspberry stocks reaching 10,000 tonnes in Serbia. This record level of stocks for recent years was reached thanks to increase in raspberry production and new raspberry freezing and storage facilities having been put into operation in 2010.

At the same time, Serbia disposes of frozen blackberry stocks lower than last year, and frozen sour cheery stocks are almost run out. Frozen sour cherries are in the shortest supply in the country, and their prices have gone 3 times up during a season.

The Serbian industry representatives reported of the frozen raspberry global price growth and activization of demand usually occurring in March notwithstanding the Chilean suppliers entering the market at this time.

Fruit-Inform Project invites all companies interested in creation and development of the berry business, as well as companies engaged into deep freezing to take part in the Second International Conference “Berries of Ukraine-2011: Freezing and Fresh Market”.

Fruit-Inform Project is to complete 2 important studies till the beginning of the conference: the first fundamental study “Market for Frozen Fruits and Vegetables of Ukraine and Russia-2011” and “Fruit and Vegetable Market of Ukraine-2011: Fundamental Study of the Season's Results and Forecasts for the Following Season”.
