Grain harvest in Kazakhstan 83 pc completed

As of September 22, 2003 Kazakhstan's farmers harvested grains from more than 11.39 million hectares, which is 82.9 percent of total grains area, press service of the country's agriculture ministry informed, according to web-sever Gazeta.kz.

The amount of harvested grain is 13.72 million hectares; the average yield - 1.2 tonne per hectare.

Total grain area in Kazakhstan this year is 13.73 million hectares.
