34% growth of Morocco's fruit and vegetable exports to Russia
According to www.greenmed.eu, Moroccan exports of fruits and vegetables passed from 478 thousand tons in 2009-2010, to 529 thousand tons in 2010-2011, with an increase of 9%.
These good results come from good weather conditions for three consecutive seasons. Moreover, a favorable trend in the international market is registered. In particular, the only region of Souss-Massa contributes to 70% with a volume that is nearly 300,000 tons.
Finally, during the 2010-2011 campaign, exports from Morocco to North America have increased by 62%. Morocco's fruit and vegetable exports to Russia grew considerably too: by 34%.
