Russia may lift duties on import of maize and other protein-containing feed commodities
Russia may lift duty on import of maize, soybeans, fish flour and other albuminous additions that could be used as albuminous fodder.
Sergey Dankvert, the first vice-minister of agriculture, said that the decision about lifting of the duties will be accepted during next meeting of the committee on the questions of defensive measures in foreign trade. He also added that committee made the decision that the zero duty on soymeal will act not during certain period, but constantly.
Sergey Dankvert said that Russia suffers deficit of such kinds of fodder and now such alternates like feed wheat or barley are used but that leads to decreasing of the efficiency of agriculture industry.
