Zero duty rate for grain imports prolonged till July 1, 2004
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has passed the Law "About modifications into some laws of Ukraine" where the temporary zero rate import duty for grain is prolonged till July 1, 2004 (the zero rate import duty, acording to current legislation, was to stay in effect till December 31, 2003).
The law stipulates that zero rate import duty for rye, wheat and wheat/rye mixture will be in effect till July 1, 2004.
According to experts, the passing of the bill will allow to fill Ukrainian market with sufficient amount of grain and to improve the situation in the country's food market.
