Belarus to import 220,000 t of food wheat

Belarus' ministry of agriculture and food is planning to purchase this year 220,000 tonnes of wheat abroad to be supplied to the country's flour-milling and pasta-producing enterprises. The trading missions from Kazakhstan, Baltic states and some regions of Russia have already declared their intent to cooperate with Belarus, BelTA agency informed. According to a spokeswoman for the grain industry stocks and trading department within the agriculture ministry, Belarus imports each year approximately the same amount of wheat, and this year is not an exception.
