Apple purees exempted from import duty by Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan
The Commission of Customs Union of Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan took a decision to set zero import duties on some apple purees (inclusive of kompots and apple juice concentrates).
A respective resolution was passed on November 18, 2011, and came into force on January 2, 2012.
A zero import duty will be effective within 9 months.
Before adoption of the resolution, apple purees were liable to 15% import tariff. The same tariff was imposed on juice concentrates (but no less than EUR 0.07 per liter).
