Ukraine banned import of pork from a province of Portugal
On February 2 Ukrainian veterinary service banned import of live pigs, pork and pork-origin goods, produced in the Portuguese province of Beire Litorate, because of registered in this region cases of classical pig plague, the Head of State Department of Veterinary Medicine Petro Verbytsky has told a press conference today.
According to the State Department, this dangerous animal disease has been registered in 17 countries of the world.
