Ukraine's bakeries produced 18 pc less bread in January than month before
In January 2004 the official statistics registered production of bread and bakery products in the amount of 203,900 tonnes, which is 18 percent less than in December 2003. This amount, however, is 24 percent larger than in January last year.
Totally over the seventh month of the 2003/04 MY (July to January) the bakeries produced 1.45 million tonnes of bread and bakery products, which is by 184,600 tonnes or 15 percent more than the amount, produced over the same months last season.
