Russia: 67,200 t of grain bought on the fifth day of grain interventions
According to press-service of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on February 27 the number of accredited participants of the exchange tenders within the state commodity interventions on the grain market increased from 160 to 174 milling enterprises from all the seven Russia's Federal Districts. 126 organisations from nine geographic zones were admitted to participate in the trading session held on February 27 (the zones are "Nofth-West", "Volga-1", "Volga-2", "South-1", "South-2", "Ural", "Siberia-1", "Siberia-2" and "Far East").
The maximal amount of grain over the first five day of the trades was put up for tender - 95,600 tonnes, including 37,900 tonnes of milling wheat Class 3, 44,200 tonnes of wheat Class 4 and 13,500 tonnes of rye Group "A". The supplies under the concluded contacts are to be made from elevators, located in the Republics of Bashkortostan, Mordovia and Tatarstan, Altai and Krasnoyarsk Krais and Novosibirsk, Omsk, Orenburg and Saratov Oblasts.
The trades participants concluded 60 transactions for a total of 67,200 tonnes of grain, of which there were 30,600 tonnes of wheat Class 3 (bought at the average price of 4,771 roubles per tonne), 28,900 tonnes of wheat Class 4 (at 4,141 roubles per tonne) and 7,700 tonnes of milling rye (3,028 roubles per tonne) (28.52 roubles = $1).
The total amount of grain, sold over the first five days of intervention trades, is about 198,000 tonnes, of which there are 63,880 tonnes of wheat Class 3, 105,000 tonnes of wheat Class 4 and 29,300 tonnes of milling rye.
