Ukraine's farmers obtained $169 mln of loans since the start of year

On March 25, the Minister of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine Victor Slauta on national wide wire said that the farmers of Ukraine obtained preference credits of the total 900 million hryvnias (about $168.8 million) from the beginning of the year. According to him, about 800 million hryvnias were allotted under mid-term scheme and about 91 million hryvnias were allotted under long-term one.

"We want a mechanism of long-term crediting starts working", - the AP Minister said.

220 million hryvnias are foreseen by 2004 State Budget of Ukraine to compensate partial credit for agricultural enterprises; 120 million hryvnias of this sum are foreseen to get long-term credits cheaper.
