Poland leads in global raspberry production
According to estimates of Central Statistical Office of Poland, the country is one of the largest raspberry producers of the world.
Polish raspberry production reached record high 127,000 tonnes in 2012, an increase of 7.7% from the previous year. High quality of Polish raspberries is a result of combination of ideal climatic conditions, good soils and modern production technologies. The raspberry sector’s turning point was the beginning of mass production of everbearing varieties.
As regards the Ukrainian raspberry sector, we would remind you that more detailed information about its development and outlook will be presented at the 4th International Conference “Berries of Ukraine – 2013: Frozen Produce & Fresh Market”.
