Ukrainian radish season starts

According to Fruit-Inform, radish harvesting has started in the southern regions of Ukraine. If weather conditions remain favorable, harvesting campaign in the southern regions will have intensified by the end of the week.

Current radish prices have already fallen to UAH 12-13/kg (EUR 1.17-1.27/kg) at wholesale markets of Kherson region and Crimea, though radishes were offered at no lower than UAH 15-17/kg (EUR 1.47-1.66/kg) a week before. At the same time, radish prices at Shuvar Wholesale Market (Lviv) are rather high: about UAH 30/kg (EUR 2.93/kg). As regards Kiev, radishes are offered at about UAH 24/kg (EUR 2.34/kg) at Stolychnyi Wholesale Market. Prices may significantly go down by the beginning of next week under conditions of growing supply.
