Poland increases cucumber exports
Poland's cucumber exports reached 12,600 tonnes in 2012, an increase of 8.6% from the previous year's result of 11,600 tonnes.
As regards cucumber export values, they stood at $10,8 mln in 2012.
Higher exports were favored by an increase in shipments to the Central and Eastern Europe, which grew by 700 tonnes. Russia increased imports of Polish cucumbers by 400 tonnes, while exports to Ukraine remained the same.
Among the EU countries, Germany and Czech Republic led in cucumber imports from Poland.
