Ukraine: apple imports in first 9 months of 2012/13 the lowest over past 5 years
According to State Statistics Service of Ukraine, the country imported just 29,000 tonnes of apples in the first nine months of the season 2012/13, a third of imports in the same period of the previous season and record low result over the past 5 years.
Only in March 2013, imports decreased by 24% year-on-year to record low 17,000 tonnes.
Poland was the main apple exporter to Ukraine in the first nine months of the season 2012/13 with the share of 92% in total imports.
