Ukrainian grape production down in 2012
According to State Statistics Service of Ukraine, grape production in the country amounted to 456,000 tonnes in 2012, a decrease of 13% from the previous year's result of 522,000 tonnes.
Odessa region led in grape production with harvested volumes at 212,000 tonnes, 8% higher year-on-year.
Autonomous Republic of Crimea ranked second with the result of 94,000 tonnes, a decrease of 33% from 2011.
Kherson region was the third largest grape producer. Kherson farmers reduced grape production by 31% to 39,000 tonnes in 2012.
