Russia: an increase of 20% in prices of Polish apples over two weeks

Prices of Polish apples continue to grow in the Russian market. Under conditions of stably high demand in Russia and lower supply of apples in Poland, prices have grown averagely by 17-21% over two previous weeks.

The highest price increase rates were registered in the segment of Idared variety. Now these apples (70+ size) are offered at RUB 33-34/kg (EUR 0.80-0.83/kg) in Russia. Two weeks ago, their prices were 21-22% lower.

Prices of Gloster apples have grown by 21% over two weeks and now are sold at RUB 28-29/kg (EUR 0.68-0.70/kg).

Jonagold apples of Polish origin (80/85+ size) are offered averagely at RUB 28-30/kg (EUR 0.70-0.73/kg), an increase of 17% from the price level two weeks ago.
