Poland: Chinese cabbage prices up
The Polish market participants say of an increase in trading and purchasing activity in the Chinese cabbage market due to higher demand for Polish produce in Russia.
In addition, prices are positively impacted by frosty weather in Poland.
Last week prices of Chinese cabbage varied between 0.23-0.28 euro/kg. However, for the present, they have already reached 0.28-0.35 euro/kg.
The market experts also say that the price growth has provoked a decrease in supply in the country. Hoping for a further rise in prices, growers started restraining sales.
