Russia's juice imports down
Russia is gradually reducing imports of fruit and vegetable juices in the current season.
In the first 5 months of the season 2013/14, Russian importers purchased 91,000 tons of juices, a decrease of 17% compared with the same period of the previous season, when imports had reached 109,000 tons.
Lower imports of fruit and vegetable juices are connected with a decrease in purchase volumes of Chinese juices, which have gone down by 39%. In the previous season China was the largest supplier of fruit and vegetable juices to the Russian Federation. Ukraine, the Netherlands, Israel and Belgium were among leaders too.
