Russian farmers start potato planting without imported seeds
Farmers from the Southern Federal District of Russia have started planting early potatoes under conditions of still active ban on imports of seed potatoes from the EU. Growers believe that the situation is close to critical due to sharp shortage of high-quality seed potatoes in the Russian Federation. The ban on imports of ware and seed potatoes from the European Union imposed on July 01, 2013, put the quality of harvested potatoes at threat.Only several groups of users can see full text of this article:
