Poland: Gala stocks twice as high as last year

According to WAPA estimates, stocks of Gala apples in Poland are twice as high as last year.

As of February 01, 2014, Gala stocks totaled 70,000 tons in the country, while in the same period of the previous season they had amounted to just 35,000 tons.

Such a sharp year-on-year difference is connected with a significant increase in production of Gala apples in Poland in 2013. We would remind you that Poland's production of those apples totaled 270,000 tons, an increase of 8% compared with the previous season and the highest result over the past 10 years.
