Poland: Golden Delicious stocks stable
Stocks of Golden Delicious apples in Poland as of early February did not change compared with the previous two years.
According to WAPA data, Polish Golden Delicious stocks totaled 110,000 tons on February 1, 2014, about a third of total production of those apples in Poland in 2013.
We would remind you that Polish production of Golden Delicious apples totaled 320,000 tons in the season 2013/14, the highest result over the past 10 years. Golden Delicious variety is the most popular one among EU growers. WAPA analysts estimate the share of those apples at about a quarter in the EU total apple production.
