Russian sellers raise prices of Serbian apples

Russian traders have been raising prices for apples of Serbian origin.

For the present, those apples are offered in Moscow at 0.71-0.85 euro/kg, depending on variety and size, an increase of 8-9% month-on-month. The highest prices are quoted for Granny Smith variety.

Prices of Serbian apples in Saint-Petersburg vary between 0.71-1.00 euro/kg, an increase of 8-11% compared with early March 2014. Granny Smith apples are also offered at maximum prices there.

We would remind you that Serbia's exports of apples to the Russian Federation grew by 160% in the current season that enabled that country to rank third in apple exports to Russia with only Poland and Moldova exporting more.
