Serbia almost triples apple exports to Russia

Serbia has almost tripled apple exports to the Russian Federation in the current season.

In the period from July 2013 to April 2014, Russia imported 90,000 tons of Serbian apples against just 34,000 tons (the lowest volume in the past 5 years) in the same period of the previous season.

Serbia has also improved its position among apple exporters to Russia. A year before, Serbia was just the sixth largest supplier. Now the country ranks fourth and has left China behind with only Poland and Moldova having exported more.
