Poland: exporters prefer Mutsu and Golden Delicious apples
The Polish market participants say of still high demand for Mutsu and Golden Delicious apples among Russian importers.
Despite the fact that the majority of Polish exporters switched over to buying strawberries and sweet cherries, the demand for those apples is rather active. However, exporters often say of problems with finding necessary volumes of Mutsu and Golden Delicious apples of appropriate quality.
Meanwhile, Polish growers do not revise their prices. For the present, Mutsu apples are offered at 0.41-0.46 euro/kg with prices sometimes reaching even 0.51 euro/kg. Golden Delicious apples are shipped at 0.35-0.39 euro/kg.
