New Novosibirsk plant to produce salads for McDonald's
Moscow Group of companies "Belaya Dacha Trading" has started designing a factory near Novosibirsk which will produce salads for McDonalds. The general director of the group, Anton Semenov, said that the construction was scheduled to start this year and would be completed by the fourth quarter of 2015. The plant will be located 20 km from Novosibirsk and will produce the company's standard range, which consists of more than 30 kinds of green salads, vegetables and mixes.
The initial capacity will be of 5,000 tonnes per year, with a possible increase to 10,000 tonnes, with a total investment of around $ 20 million. Depending on the season, raw materials for processing will be purchased from Siberian producers, as well as other in the south of Russia.
The products processed by "Belaya Dacha" are mainly distributed through retail chains and hospitality businesses. "Belaya Dacha" has been supplying salads for McDonalds in Russia for over 20 years.
