Poland's grapefruit imports up in first half of 2014

Poland has increased imports of grapefruits in the first six months of 2014. According to the official statistics, Poland's import volumes totaled 24,000 tons, an increase of 13% year-on-year. In the value terms, imports stood at 13 mln euro.

Turkey accounted for more than a half of those volumes and doubled its exports to Poland compared with the same period of the previous season.

Spain was the second largest exporter with the share of 15% in Poland's total imports of grapefruits. China ranked third with the share of 13%.
