Poland: further increase in prices of Conference pears
The Polish growers say of a further increase in prices of Conference pears in the country.
In particular, for the present, growers are ready to ship those fruits at 0.36-0.47 euro/kg, depending on quality and shipment volume, an increase of 10-15% week-on-week. The price growth is connected with a decrease in the supply of pears and rather active demand for them now.
It should be noted that prices of Conference pears were 15-20% higher in Poland in the same period of the previous season. A year-on-year decrease in prices is registered due to higher production of pears in Poland and lack of exports to Russia.
