Russia: 1.53 mln t of grain sold in 36 days of grain interventions
Exchange tenders within the state commodity interventions are continued on Russian grain market. According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on June 8 the participants of exchange tenders bought 10,500 tonnes of grain, including 1,000 tonnes of 3rd class wheat at the average price of 4,470 roubles per tonne, 700 tonnes of 4th class wheat at 3,560 roubles per tonne, and 8,800 tonnes of milling rye (Group A) at 2,531 roubles per tonne (29 roubles = $1).
During the 36 days of the exchange tenders the amount of grains, sold from the intervention fund, totalled 1.52 million tonnes (98 percent of the whole intervention fund), including 477,200 tonnes of 3rd class wheat, 780,000 tonnes of 4th class wheat and 269,000 tonnes of milling rye.
