Prices of Chilean plums down in Saint Petersburg, Russia
Prices of Chilean plums have been gradually going down in Saint Petersburg due to their growing supply.
Current prices often decrease to RUB 130/kg (USD 2.07/kg) against varying between RUB 160-180/kg (USD 2.55-2.87/kg) a week before. The market participants say of relatively low demand for Chilean plums, which are now purchased mainly by supermarket chains, which are interested in widening their fresh produce assortment.
It should also be noted that this week sales of Chilean plums started also in Moscow; however, their supply is still limited there, and prices vary between RUB 170-180/kg (USD 2.71-2.98/kg).
