Kazakhstan: imports of Polish apples significantly up in spring

Kazakhstan has raised imports of Polish apples by 25% in spring 2015, according to the official statistics.

The import volumes exceeded 30,000 tons against just 24,000 tons in spring 2014.

Such an increase in imports was registered thanks to the ban on imports of foodstuffs from the EU introduced by Russia, which had resulted in Polish exporters having to find new sales channels and expand their presence in regular markets.

It should be noted that Kazakhstan's cumulative imports of Polish apples totaled record high 71,000 tons in July 2014 – May 2015.

We would remind you that more detailed information about the Ukrainian apple market developments will be presented at the 5th International Conference «Apple Business of Ukraine-2015», which is going to take place on August 13-14, Kleopatra Hotel, Kamyanets-Podilskyi, Ukraine.

Conference draft program, participation conditions, advertising options, sponsorship offer and application form are available on the official web-site.
