Russia: 1.54 mln t of grain sold in 40 days of grain interventions

Exchange tenders within the state commodity interventions are continued on Russian grain market. According to the press-centre of Moscow Inter-Bank Currency Exchange, on June 22 the participants of exchange tenders bought 2,100 tonnes of 4th class wheat at the average price of 3,410 roubles per tonne.

During the 40 days of the exchange tenders the amount of grains, sold from the intervention fund, totalled 1.54 million tonnes (98.8 percent of the whole intervention fund), including 474,500 tonnes of 3rd class wheat, 783,800 tonnes of 4th class wheat and 281,000 tonnes of milling rye.
