Ukraine becomes the second largest exporter of apple juice concentrate to Kazakhstan
Ukraine has significantly expanded its presence in the Kazakhstani apple juice concentrate (AJC) market in this season and become the second largest supplier, according to Fruit-Inform.
Ukraine’s exports to Kazakhstan totaled 730 tons in July 2015 – May 2016, an increase of 10% year-on-year. As a result, Ukraine ranked second in the ranking of exporters with the share of about 20% in Kazakhstan’s total imports.
China was still the leader in AJC exports to Kazakhstan with the share of 41%. Meanwhile, Israel (the second largest exporter in the previous season) ranked just third with the share of 18%.
It should be noted that Ukraine managed to raise its AJC exports under conditions of a decrease in Kazakhstan’s total imports, which amounted to 3,500 tons in July 2015 – May 2016, a fall of 26% year-on-year.
