Belarus leads in imports of Ukrainian potatoes
Belarus was the largest importer of Ukrainian potatoes in the first nine months of 2016, according to State Fiscal Service of Ukraine.
Ukraine’s exports of potatoes to Belarus totaled $1.1 mln. In addition to Belarus, Ukrainian potatoes were shipped to Georgia and Azerbaijan with exports totaling $45,000 and $18,000, respectively.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s potato imports amounted to $3.8 mln over the same period.
Top three potato exporters to Ukraine were represented by France ($1.3 mln), the Netherlands ($931,000) and Germany ($806,000).
