Crimea: higher white cabbage supply provokes a decrease in prices
White cabbage prices have significantly gone down in Crimea over the past weekend, according to Fruit-Inform.
Current prices fixed by sellers at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market vary between RUB 8-14/kg (USD 0.13-0.22/kg), a decrease of 20-22% compared with the end of the past week.
Sellers connect lower prices with a rise in the supply and weaker demand and say of both Russian and Crimean farms increasing their shipments.
It should also be noted that current prices are already half as high as in the same period of the previous season.
