Crimea: demand for Chinese cabbages up
The Crimean Chinese cabbage trading activity has started to grow thanks to closer New Year holidays, according to Fruit-Inform. As a result, prices of produce have already increased in the peninsula.
In particular, prices have already grown by 20-25% at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol and reached RUB 25-30/kg (USD 0.41-0.49/kg). For comparison, several days ago prices were not higher than RUB 25/kg (USD 0.41/kg).
It should also be noted that current prices of Chinese cabbages have already reached last year’s levels in Crimea. Moreover, the local market participants expect prices to continue to grow due to limited supply of local produce and irregular shipments from other regions.
