Cauliflower prices rapidly up in Crimea
Cauliflower prices have been rapidly growing in Crimea thanks to an increase in trading activity before the New Year holidays, according to Fruit-Inform. Moreover, the supply of cauliflowers is rather limited now, and this fact also backs the price growth in the peninsula.
In the meantime, sellers at Krymskiy Privoz Wholesale Market offer their cauliflowers at RUB 70-150/kg (USD 1.15-2.46/kg), depending on quality. For comparison, prices were not higher than RUB 80/kg (USD 1.31/kg) in the end of the past week.
It should also be noted that cauliflower prices also were growing in the same period of 2015. However, they were significantly higher: minimum prices stood at RUB 120/kg.
