Ukraine: apple production in Vinnytsia Oblast up
Growers from Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine, have harvested 310,000 tons of apples in 2016. As a result, the region is still the leader in production of those fruits in Ukraine, according to Vinnytsiasadvinprom.
“In total, Vinnytsia Oblast harvested 310,000 tons of apples with commercial apple production standing at 168,000 tons. As a result, the region is the leader in production of apples in Ukraine. Chernivtsi Oblast ranks second with its production volumes being far lower”, said representatives of Vinnytsiasadvinprom.
As a result, Vinnytsia Oblast accounts for about 40% of Ukraine’s total apple production.
We would remind you that last year Vinnytsia Oblast also ranked first in production of apples in Ukraine with production volumes totaling 260,000 tons.
