Chinese cabbage prices down in Crimea
Prices of Chinese cabbage have been rapidly going down in the Crimean market with sellers forced to reduce their prices on a day-to-day basis, according to Fruit-Inform.
In particular, Chinese cabbage prices have already reached RUB 50-70/kg (USD 0.89-1.25/kg), depending on quality, at Krymsky Privoz Wholesale Market, Simferopol, a decrease of 37% week-on-week.
The local market participants connect such a rapid fall in prices with unsatisfactory quality of offered produce. As a result, sellers have to reduce their prices to accelerate sales of available volumes.
It should be noted that prices also were going down in Crimea a year before. Nevertheless, they were 27% higher in the same period of the previous year.
