Ukraine: white cabbages 60-70% more expensive week-over-week

White cabbage prices have marked a rapid growth rate in Ukraine since the beginning of this week, reports Fruit-Inform.
      According to the daily monitoring data, now Ukrainian farmers manage to sell their white cabbages at UAH 3-4/kg (EUR 0.08-0.11/kg). Therefore, prices have shown a rise of 60-70% week-over-week.
     Growers link positive trend with growing demand in the Ukrainian market. In addition, unfavorable weather conditions have caused logistical problems in some Ukrainian regions supporting the price growth in this segment.
      Moreover, current prices of Ukrainian white cabbages are more than twice as high as in the same period of the previous year.
