Production of frozen vegetables up in Poland
Polish frozen vegetable production has reached record high in 2017, reaching 707,000 tons, reports Sadyogrody.pl referring to the Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS).
Production of frozen vegetables in Poland has increased by a whopping 54% over the last decade thanks to growing exports and domestic consumption of these products.
Moreover, market experts expect growth in healthy food consumption and HoReCa development to contribute to further growth in Polish frozen vegetable production in the nearest years. The industry still has a great development potential thanks to extensive raw produce base as well as high competitive ability of Polish market players and rather strong prospects of a further rise in domestic consumption.
It is also worth mentioning that Poland is the second largest producer of frozen vegetables in the EU after Belgium.
