Information for fruit and vegetables business in CIS
Ukraine: official production estimates published
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine has published its potato, fruit, vegetable and berry production estimates for 2017, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
The officials estimate Ukraine to have harvested 22.2 mln tons of potatoes in 2017 with average yields amounting to 16.78 tons per ha. Total production of vegetables reached 9.3 mln tons with average yields of 20.78 tons per ha.
As regards fruits, Ukrainian fruit and berry production is estimated at 2.05 mln tons in 2017, along with 403,300 tons of grapes.
