Ukrainian State stock committee (SSC) gave up 3rd and 4th class wheat purchases

State material stock committee of Ukraine stopped 3rd and 4th class wheat purchases having directed at 5th class wheat. It was outspoke by Mihail Galich, the first vice-president of SSC.

As he says, this decision was made after agricrops producers appealed for. As far as grain quality went down because of weather conditions, agrarians are likely interested in 5th class wheat realization.

Adducing M.Galich's words, this question was discussed earlier but the decision have been made yesterday, Aug.31.

This caused the fact that no application on 3rd and 4th class wheat were accepted during the tender which SSC held on Aug.31. But they accepted 24 of 45 application for 5th class wheat, as APK-Inform reporter who was present on the tender informed. In total during the tender firms offered 202.31 thousand tonnes of grain. 5Th class wheat was at the price 490-530 UAH/tonne.

M.Galich told that SSC lifted 5th class wheat start price from 500 UAH/tonne to 530 UAH/tonne. He says that it will support domestic agrarians.

M.Galich pointed out that it were agrarians who asked government to support the level of prices for 5th class wheat. The price for today is 480-510 UAH/tonne.
