State of winter crops in Ukraine mostly good and fair - weather centre
According to Ukrainian Centre for Hydro-Meteorology (weather centre), on the last ten days of September nearly all over the territory of the country the moisture stocks in the ploughing layer remained good and fair - 15 to 30 mm. In many locations of western, northern, central and eastern regions the stocks were 31 to 50 mm. However, on separate areas of Odessa, Nikolaev, Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson Oblasts and the Crimea the moisture stocks in the ploughing layer were unsatisfactory - 2 to 10 mm. In some locations the ploughing layer was completely dry.
The state of winter crops which have already shot out is predominantly good and fair, informs the weather centre.
