Russia: economy ministry proposes to increase import quotas for beef and pork

Russia's Ministry of Economic Development proposes to increase quotas for imports of beef and pork to Russian Federation in 2005 by 2.5 percent.

The ministry directed the proposal to government, German Gref, Minister of Economic Development told media on Monday.

He said that the proposal had been coordinated with Agriculture and Finance Ministries. It is expected that corresponding resolution of the government will come out until the end of year, he said.

Import quotas for poultry meat will remain unchanged at current level.
